Deborah Voigt decided to get gastric bypass surgery when her costume for the Royal Opera didn’t fit her back in 2014. It was probably because she weighed 350 pounds during that time. This famous soprano was more hurt when she noticed the critics was fat-shaming her instead of praising her excellent voice.

This made the 59-year-old star get a cosmetic procedure in 2005 that made her lose 135 pounds in the process. After the procedure, she could finally fit into the narrow airplane bathroom for the first time in her life. Voigt had made herself an investment as she could now continue working with ease.
